With only a few weeks to go until the big day, our Christmas preparations are well underway in the L&L offices. In previous articles we have discussed our favourite dog toys and Christmas things for cats that we have in our Grotto. This week we thought we'd share some of the delights on offer in our Festive Dressing Up Box! We have some wonderfully toasty Christmas jumpers that will keep your pups warm this year. From plain knits in festive colours to jazzy striped designs with Christmas motifs, we have something for every taste. If your dog really enjoys dressing up then we have some great novelty items too. Here we present some of our favourite things that you can find on the racks of our Dressing Up Box...
Christmas Jumpers for Dogs
Dog jumpers are a practical item for many dog owners, keeping small and shorthaired breeds warm in cold weather. Even if you have a larger dog or one with longer hair, they may still like having the warmth and cosiness of a jumper. Well why not add a festive spin to their wardrobe with one of these adorable Christmas jumpers? They're sure to add a bit of fun to your pup's look during the Winter months!
Cosy Polo Neck Jumper - These cosy polo neck jumpers are part of our Christmas collection, but their plain cable knit designs are perfect for the whole winter long. Beautifully snuggly, the roll neck design will keep your pups toasty, even on the iciest of days. Available in grey or red.
Santasaurus Christmas Dog Jumper - This navy blue dog jumper features the addition of a Santa-hat-wearing dinosaur on the back. It will keep out the wintery chills of December whilst also keeping your dog in the festive spirit!
Christmas Cracker Dog Jumper - If you like a novelty Christmas jumper then this Christmas cracker dog jumper is perfect! It is just as practical as any of the other knitwear, being warm, comfortable and cosy, but it has the striking design of a Christmas Cracker. Your little pup is sure to get all the hearts on Instagram wearing this!
Christmas Hats for Dogs
If your dog doesn't mind putting on an outfit and dressing up then we have some great festive options for you to peruse. This novelty headwear may not be the kind of thing they'll walk around town in, but they will certainly encourage conversation around the dinner table on Christmas Day and get them a like or two on your social media!
Sparkly Reindeer Headband for Dogs - Dress your dog up like a reindeer with these sparkly antlers. Attached to a headband, they simply tie under your dogs chin. They'll look super cute wearing these through the festive season!
Cheeky Elf Hat with Beard for Dogs - How adorable does Velvet look in this? Your dog can pretend to be one of Santa's little helpers in this Elf hat. A striped hat complete with Elf ears and a furry beard.
Sequin Colour Change Hat on a Headband for Dogs - Another headband design, this one features a Santa hat with sparkly colour-change Santa hat. A christmas classic for any dog who loves to play dress-up!
Christmas Scarves and Leg Warmers for Dogs
Chunky Knitted Dino Scarf - This cute dinosaur design scarf will keep your dog cosy this Winter. Part of the Christmas collection, but versatile enough to be worn all Winter long. Why not treat them to the matching jumper that we mentioned before. Oh, and don't miss the Dinosaur themed Christmas toys that we have to pop in their stocking!
Knitted Santa Scarf - This scarf has a classic Santa design; a red knitted scarf with white pom poms. Style and function combine in this festive accessory, keeping your dog warm on their cold weather walks. We also have matching Santa Leg Warmers to keep their little legs cosy on frosty mornings!
Knitted Candy Cane Scarf - If the Santa themed scarf is a little too plain for your taste, then how about this candy stripe scarf with white pom poms? Again, we have matching Candy Cane Leg Warmers to complete the look from head to toe!
Novelty Christmas Outfits for Dogs
Are you looking for the ultimate fancy dress for your dog? This selection of fun outfits for dogs will put a smile on your face all Christmas long.
Santa's Treat Hooded Christmas Jumper - This jazzy Christmas jumper for dogs is a hooded style with Santa's Treats design on the back. A festive red colour with Santa inspired white trim and a black belt finish the look. The comfort of a jumper with the look of a Santa outfit and available in a wide range of sizes.
Elf Christmas Jumper - Another novelty outfit in the form of a comfortable knitted dog jumper. This one has a cute elf design so your dog can pretend to be Santa's little helper for the holidays.
Dog Santa Outfit - Are you looking for the ultimate Christmas outfit for your dog? This Santa suit is simply adorable and is bound to raise a smile or two this Christmas. If your dog is happy to wear novelty clothing then this is perfect. Your dog will look adorable in the pictures for the family photo album!
Dog Bow Ties
If you don't want to dress up your dog in a full outfit or jumper you could still give them a festive look with a small accessory such as a bow tie. These simply loop around their neck like a collar, so are much less intrusive.
Christmas Dog Bow Tie - This sparkly green bow tie will have your dog looking dapper on Christmas morning. What we love most is the white shirt collar that just adds the perfect finishing touch. Adorable!
Sequin Colour Change Bow Tie - These sequinned bow-ties have a colour change design so you change up the look through the day. Available in navy with silver reverse or red with silver reverse, they simply loop on to your dog's collar.
We hope you like our picks from the Festive Dressing Up Box. Of course, not all dogs like to be dressed up and if your dog is one of them, we don't suggest you force them to wear something that they don't want to. All dogs are different and we suggest you buy the things that will suit your particular pup. If your dog is less inclined to wear clothing, you can always consider a small accessory like a bow tie or bandana. If they'll happily wear whatever you put them in, just like the pups from our photoshoot, then there's plenty here to fill their wardrobe with. Christmas should be fun for everyone, both human and canine alike!
