Flowers always brighten up a spring morning; whether it’s a blossoming tree or a special bouquet from a loved one, we love the colour and fragrance they add to rooms and gardens. As pet owners it is really important to know which flowers and plants are poisonous to animals. You may remember our post last Spring about plants and flowers to be wary of around your pets. With Mother’s Day just around the corner we thought we’d highlight some of the other poisonous plants to be aware of.
Chrysanthemums
Peonies
Delphiniums
Azalea
Amaryllis
If you have a pet, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have these plants at all, but just be extra cautious. Keep them out of reach of pets or in rooms that your pet isn’t allowed. If you think your pet has eaten any plant, it is always best to take them to the vet for a check-up.
Pet Friendly Flowers
If you’re looking for pet friendly blooms, either for a loved one or yourself, both Bloom & Wild and Arena Flowers have a wonderful selection of bouquets to choose from.
